Beach babe

So today I officially start my new position as Content Coordinator for the Daily Progress. In between finishing up my staff photojournalist position last Tuesday and starting the new job today, I went back to Philly to hang with my family and friends. My friend Crystal, who is a fabulous musician, wanted to do a shoot for some fresh publicity photos. Some how we decided on doing the photos at the beach. Of course we wanted to get there before sunrise as well. I haven’t been to Long Beach Island since high school and remember Barnegat Light as being a cool place. Unfortunately, it is also a half hour away. We started our adventure at 3:30 in the morning, it was cold, rainy, and miserable. We pressed on hoping for a break. We never got the spectacular sunrise we had envisioned. Instead, we got a contrast between a vibrant looking Crystal and a foreboding background. Not quite what we had in mind but it still looks pretty cool. A couple of fisherman came out at daybreak and were treated to our little shoot. If you guys see this here is the finished product.
